BIO

Kendall Manz (b. 1994, NZ) started making ceramics in 2014, and graduated from the Australian National University ceramic department in 2018. She has since worked in small scale ceramic manufacturing and education in naarm/Melbourne and nipaluna/Hobart.

Her practice is fuelled by a curiosity in how things are made - reading the surfaces of the constructed and natural world as traces of the processes and histories that shaped them. This interest in material as record informs an experimental studio approach. Making becomes a way of heightening her experience of presence.

Beyond her art practice she works as a kitchen garden educator.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Handwashing of tableware is recommended as some glazes, like natural stone, can be dulled or bleached over time by the dishwashing detergents. All glazes are formulated to be foodsafe.
